I have moved the entire van Gogh Fossil Paint & Furniture Makeup Collection from my studio in Coaldale to my booth in Urban Prairie Antique mall in downtown Lethbridge as of August 2015.

Well the move is complete although I'm still sorting + unpacking + trying to find things + and most importantly trying to get my studio tidy enough for y'all. Just remember it's a working studio so when you pop by please excuse my "creative mess" :)

OPEN - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 12noon to 6pm but if you can't make it during regular hours I open anytime by appointment, just ring me at 403-393-1525 to set up a time to pop by. I also still have my debit/visa machine for your convenience.

la TaDa! creative studio has now moved to my art studio located at 1405 - 22 Ave, just south of R.I. Baker soccer field, the little pink house with the big yard & the studio is in the back, door on the right.

Here I will continue to carry the complete line of van Gogh Paintology products, paint, wax, the complete line of Furniture Make up including the latest & greatest liquid metals.

You have my heartfelt thanks for supporting la TaDa! over the past 2.5 years and for your continued support in our new locations. I also thank you for your patience during this transition.

BEGINNER - Mixed Media Collage on Wood "MY HEART"

Are you interested in our "My HeART" workshop? If so let us know because we want to make sure there is enough interest before we book the day or time.

This is a very basic mixed media collage class so it's perfect for the beginner. We will be using a variety of bits & bobs as well as van Gogh Fossil Paint and Furniture Make up. We are here to get creative and just have fun. So start thinking how you want to describe your heart, are you a dreamer, a believer, a Mom, an artist or a variety of many? Discover your heart, bring it to class & we'll turn it in to a work of art :)

If you would like to bring some of your own bits & bobs to play with & share with others you are welcome to and it helps us step outside our comfort zone when we use less expectant materials then we normally would. here are some examples of what you could bring if you'd like:

buttons, pearls, lace, old trims, doilies, ribbons

old magazines to cut up

scrapbooking pretties

old photos or postcards

vintage fabric or ephemera

old jewelry

silk flowers

or anything else that your little heart desires,

be open to the unusual, use your imagination.

van Gogh Paintology Workshop 101 - Upcoming Dates

The TIMES they are a changin' - NEW HOURS FOR la TaDa!

as an artist & woman in business I would like to thank all my amazing customers & students who have encouraged me & supported la TaDa! Unfortunately business has not been as I had hoped & prayed for. We have become more like a museum than a shop so now Miss Laura has to find a day job. Instead of closing up shop completely we are going to try reduced hours till the end of this year and revisit the situation then.

So starting next week the new shop hours will be:

Wednesday 12noon to 6pm

Friday 12noon to 6pm

I thank God for my sweet Mom, Norma & great friend, Maureen who have graciously offered to work those days so I can work a day job.

For anyone needing paint & supplies outside of the new shop hours please ring me at 403-393-1525 & we can set a time to meet at the shop. I will also do my best to accommodate "by appointment shopping".

I am still hopeful that business will pick up & we can return to regular hours or even better be able to open 6 days a week :) 

My dream is to continue to grow & evolve la TaDa! I hope to someday carry even more amazing DIY supplies & become one of the prettiest & most inspiring vintage decor shops in southern Alberta.

Take your chalk paint expertise to the next level.  Our advanced class uses van Gogh Furniture Makeup to enhance your furniture refinishing.  You will learn how to use our stencils, Paint Crackle, Luminous Eye Shadow, Moon Glaze, Antiquing Glaze and Embossing Plaster to create some extra special creative affects that will really add that special pizzazz to your projects and really set your work apart. Each student will create 5 different samples to take home. Come & be amazed at how easy it is to create stunning pieces.  Check out our Pinterest board to see some examples of the various techniques you will learn in class as well as project ideas.

I'd like to thank Kathy for flying out to "lil old Coaldale" to share her amazing wealth of knowledge with us at the first of many more la TaDa! workshops.

I would also like to thank all the lovely ladies who joined us for our very first workshop weekend. Thanks so much for supporting la TaDa! (one of your local "brick & mortar" shops.) "Brick & mortar" shops are very much in danger of extinction in Canada so we greatly appreciate your support. It will be because of fabulously supportive people like you that we hope to always have interesting, unique local shops available to us and won't be stuck with only big box & online shopping, what a boring world that would be. 

I look forward to seeing everyone's future projects now that you have the techniques & knowledge under our belt. Take your chalk paint expertise to the next level.  Our advanced class uses van Gogh Chalk Paint Collection Furniture Makeup to enhance your furniture refinishing.  We cover Crackle, Ancient Crackle, Luminous Eye Shadow and Embossing Plaster techniques. Each student will create 6 stunning samples of "Carved Wood", Old World, and Contemporary Bling finishes that will set your work apart.  Come & be amazed at how easy it is to create stunning pieces.
